This was a serendipitous moment. I’d intended to take a a backlit image of these slender beech trees as the sun rose in the east, casting long shadows across the bluebells on the forest floor. As the sun rose this beautiful wood filled with mist which rose from the valley below as the sun warmed the air. This created a wonderfully mysterious scene. I was drawn by the symmetry of the diagonal trunks and the depth in the scene created by the mist. Badbury Clump, Oxfordshire.
