Woodborough Hill stands as an outlier of cretaceous chalk above the Pewsey Vale in Wiltshire. Viewed from Knapp Hill on the Pewsey Downs to the North it is a wonderful place to spend the dawn and observe the awakening day. Mists tumble from the escarpment of Salisbury Plain to the South, and drift in layers from the east following the contours of fields below. The stillness is only broken by a Ravens croak and the Buzzards call.
