I enjoy intimate abstract scenes which invite the viewer to inquire as to the nature and content of the image. For me this image is both warm and cool capturing the transition from one season to another. The vibrant yellows of the silver birch leaves are subtly edged with frost while winter has fully taken hold of elements of the scene. The chill of the early morning is more than compensated, in fact hightened by a sense of wonder and reward for taking time to pause and fully engage the senses.
